How PIP is paid

How PIP is paid.

Every 4 weeks

PIP is paid every 4 weeks, in arrears, into your bank or building society account.

Tax-free and not means-tested

It doesn’t count as income for tax, and your earnings and savings don’t affect it.

On top of other benefits

PIP isn’t counted as income for Universal Credit and is paid on top of most other benefits.

It can open other help

A PIP award can mean a Blue Badge, cheaper vehicle tax, Motability, or Carer’s Allowance for your carer.
