PIP2 form help: every answer written for you.
Got the “How your disability affects you” form? Tell us about your condition and your day, and we write your PIP2 answers for you: every question, in the order the form asks, ready to copy across and written to match the points the DWP scores. £49 flat. No percentage of your award.
The PIP2 sets up everything that comes after it.
The assessor reads your PIP2 before your assessment, and the decision maker reads it again before deciding. What you write, and what you leave out, shapes the questions you’re asked and the points you’re given.
Most people describe their good days, keep the boxes short, or never say how often things go wrong. The rule looks at what’s true on more than half of your days, so that detail is what scores.
One calendar month from the date printed on your form to send it back. If you need longer, ask the DWP before that date passes. Send the form on time and post your evidence on afterwards.
Four things every answer gets right.
Written from what you tell us and the letters you send.
Written to the descriptors
Each answer describes your day in the terms the DWP scores, so the assessor can match it to the right points.
How often it happens
The rule looks at more than half of your days, so every answer says how often a problem happens and what goes wrong.
Safely, properly, repeatedly
Something you can only manage on a good day, or only with someone there, counts as something you can’t do. We say so.
Honest where it doesn’t apply
Where your condition doesn’t affect an activity, we tell you to tick No. Answers that don’t hold up weaken the ones that do.
The same question. Two very different answers.
The PIP2 is decided on what you write. Here’s the difference between a short answer and one the DWP can score.
Dressing and undressing: “Can you dress and undress yourself?”
“Yes, I manage.”
What the DWP reads: you can do it. That usually means no points for this activity.
“My husband does my buttons and puts my socks and shoes on every morning. On my own it takes me over 40 minutes and I have to rest halfway.”
Who helps, what with, how long it takes, and how often: what the descriptors score.
Describe the days that are most of your week.
- MonBad day
- TueBad day
- WedBetter day
- ThuBad day
- FriBad day
- SatBetter day
- SunBetter day
4 bad days out of 7 means you describe the bad day.
The DWP applies a descriptor if it fits you on more than half the days. If the bad days are most of the week, they’re your normal, so that’s what your answers need to describe. It’s easy to describe a good day without realising.

Re: Your PIP2 answers — what’s inside.
- Every question answered, 1 to 15 — your conditions, medicines, treatments and health professionals, then all twelve activities, in the order the form asks.
- Copy-ready answers in your voice — set out in blue boxes that match the boxes on the form. Copy them exactly, or change anything that doesn’t sound like you.
- What to tick for every question — Yes or No, and the right box for questions like moving around, so nothing is left to guesswork.
- “Why it’s written this way” under each answer — so you understand what the assessor is looking for and why each detail matters.
- Your return deadline — worked out from the date on your form, with what to do if you need more time.
- A checklist and evidence list — what to check before you post it, which letters to send with it, and what not to send.
What happens next: secure card payment → tell us about your condition and your day, and upload any letters → your answers arrive by email within 24 hours. Add a Letter to Your GP (£9) at checkout.

What happens after your PIP2.
Most people have an assessment next, then a decision letter. Two ways it usually goes.
You’re awarded PIP
Your decision letter shows your points and your rate for each part. Payments are backdated to the date you first contacted the DWP to claim.
You’re refused, or given too little
You can ask the DWP to look again, normally within one month of the date on your decision letter. See how we’d argue your case with a free PIP preview first.
Assessment coming up? Add the PIP Assessment Preparation Workbook (£12) at checkout, or buy the workbook separately. Being reviewed instead? See AR1 review form answers.
Questions about PIP2 form help.
If your question isn’t covered, email us at support@pipappeal.org.uk and we’ll reply same day.
The PIP2 is the “How your disability affects you” form the DWP sends after you start a PIP claim. It asks about your conditions, medicines and health professionals, then about twelve everyday activities. The assessor reads it before your assessment. GOV.UK explains how to claim PIP.
One calendar month from the date printed on the form. If you need longer, ask the DWP before that date passes. Don’t wait for a letter from your doctor: send the form on time and post the evidence on afterwards.
We write every answer for you, in the same order as the form. You copy the answers onto the form, sign it and post it, because the form has to come from you.
Recent letters from the people who treat you, your repeat prescription list, and short signed notes from anyone who helps you. Your answers include a list made for your case, and what not to send. Send photocopies, because the DWP doesn’t return anything.
Answer the ones where your condition affects you, and tick No where it doesn’t. We tell you which is which. An answer that doesn’t hold up makes the assessor look harder at the ones that do.
Your answers arrive by email within 24 hours. Your return deadline is in your answers too, worked out from the date on your form.
Tell us about your conditions and what your day is like, and upload any letters you have, such as hospital or GP letters. The more you tell us about how often things go wrong, the stronger your answers will be.
Yes. Change any word that doesn’t sound like you. If you remember something or want more detail added, reply to the email and we rewrite the answer for free.
£49 flat. We never take a percentage of your award or your backpay.
