Late isn’t always too late.
Send it anyway, with a reason
Explain why you were late: illness, a hospital stay, a bereavement, or not receiving the letter. Late requests are often accepted.
The 13-month limit
For DWP benefits, a late reconsideration or appeal can usually be accepted up to 13 months after the decision. For ADP, it’s one year.
A form that’s late
Send a PIP2, AR1 or WCA50 back as soon as you can with a reason. Contact the DWP first if you need more time.

The DWP usually gives one month. If you need longer, ask them before the deadline. Send it back even if it’s late, with a reason.

Things like serious illness, a hospital stay, a bereavement, or not receiving the letter. Explain it in your request.
