They match the three stages of a claim. Form answers help you fill in the claim or review form before a decision is made. A Mandatory Reconsideration asks the DWP to look at its decision again, and you normally have one month from the date on your decision letter to ask. If the reconsideration doesn’t change the decision, you can appeal to the independent First-tier Tribunal, usually within one month of your reconsideration notice. Yes. We write re-determination requests, which are Scotland’s first challenge to a decision, and appeals to the First-tier Tribunal for Scotland. You have 42 days from your decision to ask for a re-determination. We don’t offer help with the ADP claim form yet. More detail is on mygov.scot.
New claims after State Pension age are usually for Attendance Allowance, which is for people who need help with personal care or supervision. If you were already getting PIP before you reached State Pension age, you can usually keep it. Read more about Attendance Allowance on GOV.UK.

You can still ask. The DWP can accept a late Mandatory Reconsideration request up to 13 months after the decision, as long as you explain why it’s late. We include that explanation in your letter.
